Dakota Resources (formerly South Dakota Rural Enterprise) operated out of my home office for many years with contract administrative support and a contracted credit officer. We started out with the Capital Investment Fund as our only product. We were purely a financial institution making capital available to development organizations in South Dakota. The image of SD Rural Enterprise was due for a facelift. An update of our marketing materials and website was included in the 2011 work plan. Before embarking on that project, we decided to take a look at the SD Rural Enterprise brand as it has evolved over the years. We gathered board members, staff and a variety of constituents together with Joe Henkin and the staff of Henkin Schultz Communication Arts for a branding session.
