This October, the entire Dakota Resources community is coming together to learn, connect and celebrate. Forward thinking entrepreneurs and rural change leaders from across South Dakota will attend The Empower Sessions, featuring dynamic keynote speakers and breakout topics designed to help them build confidence, gain valuable insights and improve their communication skills.
The Dakota Rising Gala on Saturday night is a fun and exciting evening that celebrates the next Dakota Rising Fellows finalists, congratulates the graduates and recognizes rural economic development leaders and the communities they serve.
Registration is required to attend all sessions and events.

Effective, persuasive communication skills are vital when it come s to gathering your crowd and getting people to say “yes.” Your online and in person brand is so powerful that not only does it impact others, but the message you convey through it also impacts how you perceive yourself! This interactive session will cover how and where to focus your effects when presenting ideas or requests to potential funders, clients or partners. Learn tips on weaving social media into your research and online presence while framing your message and then delivering with confidence.

This session is being led by John Meyer, the CEO of Lemonly, who knows a thing or two about time management.
