As the holidays approach, it’s a great time to look back at 2014 and assess our progress in building a stronger economy. It’s an even better time to plan ahead and think about strategies for the coming year that provide us with practical ways to revitalize our community. We can build on all the things we’re doing now and introduce some new ideas that will complement the development of our community’s assets.
First, let’s make sure we are bringing new voices into the community development process. We need people of all ages, in all walks of life to represent the many different groups in our community. And, by recruiting new volunteers to participate in local activities, we can prevent fatigue and burnout from too few trying to do too much.
